Background: Iron Melons was born, Gladys Friday, the only child of the eccentric inventor Dr. Friday who claimed to have invented the day of week "Friday". He tried to sue the whole world for copyright infringement, at the insistence of his wife, 
and eventually lost, bankrupting his family in the process. After that he shrank away and became a shadow of his former self. Gladys who had thought the world of him slowly began to resent him for being a coward and not taking revenge against society.
